EUROTACH, representative of Stoneridge in Poland, presented Stoneridge's SE5000 Smart 2, the latest second-generation smart tachograph, at TransLogistica Poland. This annual event is essential for European companies involvedin road transport, fleet owners, and businesses providing transportation services, including tachograph service networks.
Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to personally experience and test the innovative features of the new tachograph. EUROTACH also highlighted all by Stoneridge authorized tachograph service centers across the country, providing the possibility to schedule a replacement for Smart 2 tachographs.
Aligned with the deadlines set by the Mobility Package, the mandatory retrofitting of a second-generation tachograph for all Analogue & 1B tachographs in international transport vehicles is required by the end of 2024. This new generation of tachographs provides numerous advantages, such as more accurate data, improved detection of tampering or manipulation attempts, and assistance for road authorities in enforcing the new standards. Stoneridge's SE5000 Smart 2 has been specifically engineered to meet all the legislative requirements, ensuring compliance and optimal performance for users.
